To assist in your planning, the updated ICF Core competencies will be reflected in the ICF credentialing exams starting in late 2026.

The minimum skills requirements for ACC and MCC, along with the ACC and MCC BARS have been updated to align with the updated core competencies. The minimum skills requirements and the BARS trainings were released at the end of 2025. There are no changes being made to the PCC markers (minimum skills requirements) at this time.

The Minimum Skills Requirements are the bigger picture skills a coach should demonstrate at each level, and the BARS are the way ICF raters measure those skills. The updated BARS are included as part of the minimum skills document under the "Behaviors Consistent with ICF Coaching Standards".
